Humair Hashmi is one of Pakistan's pioneering psychologists, an educationist, and a writer. While his professional life kept him busy, he always found time for reading and writing, delving into books of poetry, art, culture, politics and more. Over the years he has written extensively for magazines and newspapers, in Pakistan and abroad. His work has appeared in research journals in the USA, while some has been included in text books recommended at the graduate and post graduate levels for psychology in the USA and Canada.
His most recent publication was "The Four Dervishes of Lahore", collection of anecdotes, interactions, friendship, and more importantly "memories', of his four dear ones; Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Dr. Nazir Ahmad, Shakir Ali and Abdullah Malik.
With "Verses From My Heart" he brings a series of poetry written over a period of several years. The verses are reminiscent of an extensive life lived by Hashmi, with some sweet thoughts and some deep tribulations.
